Every School Day There is a breakfast club on five mornings per week – Monday to Friday. It starts at 8:00 and from 8:45 children are able to go to class or out to play if they are in KS2 (juniors). Each session costs £3.00. Children have a selection of cereals, toast and fruit, with orange juice or milk to drink. After breakfast children are able to play table top games, draw or build with the Lego. Supervision is in the expert hands of Mrs Squire, Mrs Murphy and Mrs Fowles. There is an after-school club which is open Monday to Friday from 3:05 until 5:30. There are three costings – £4.00 for 3:05 until 16:00 £8.00 for 3:05 until 17:00. £10.00 for 3:05 until 17:30 Children have access to a range of sporting activities as well as craft activities and games. The club is held in the music room which can be accessed from the junior playground. Be Healthy Children are encouraged to take part in physical activities. In the mornings children have breakfast. After school children are provided with a healthy snack. Healthy life styles and good hygiene is encouraged. Be Safe Staff are trained in child safety and organise indoor and outdoor activities with child safety in mind. Staff are friendly and get to know children well in an environment where children feel safe and comfortable. Enjoy and Achieve Free play - children are encouraged to explore and use their imaginations with the support of a wide selection of toys and props for both inside and outside play. Opportunities to make things and investigate ideas will encourage children to grow in understanding the world around them. Achieve Economic Wellbeing Knowing your children are safe and happy gives parents opportunities to access employment and training helping reduce child poverty. This care is provided on a not for profit basis, but needs to be self-sustaining. Every effort is made to keep prices affordable but realistic. Make a Positive Contribution Through play, children are encouraged to co-operate with other children building social skills and friendships. Staff involve children in the planning of activities, encouraging children to use their talents and develop new skills. Building healthy relationships with adults and other children is encouraged through understanding of positive behaviour. |
